Chris will be presenting a short film (17 minutes) and then Chris will be talking about what inspired him to set up the organisation OceansWatch and what they are doing in the Pacific Islands to support the islanders towards more sustainable livelihoods. Sailing with other cruising yachts they form a flotilla of eco-activists who respond to requests from the local communities for help with marine conservation and humanitarian aid.

Tina Bridgman - Vocal Exploration

International singer/songwriter. Develop the natural voice by exploring techniques such as breath control, texture, projection and shaping and discover the canvas on which to paint your own unique sound. This is for everyone including the 'positively petrified'. Must be willing to have fun!

From 1993, Tina was performing solo and in bands as one of the main song writers, playing guitar, percussion and vocals. She performed at festivals in the UK, plus Europe, Ireland including Cambridge Folk Festival and Glastonbury. Since 2004 she has been performing at events around the top of the South Island such as 'Festival of Opportunities' in Nelson, Luminate, Visions and Heartart in Golden Bay. Tina has released 3 CD's that will be available at Prana Festival.

With a voice that has been called "mesmerizing, soulful, original, and unique", Amira sings and plays quite a range of styles of music. Vocals, Harp, and hand percussion has been the focus of her solo music. Her passion for World music and Jazz vocals is often felt in her music. Amira is recording her first solo albums. One album will contain a diverse mix of songs with guest musicians playing with her. The other is an all harp album for relaxation. These albums will be out in late 2009. Until then, she can be found playing gigs around New Zealand alone and with friends.
